Although there will always be free tips and tricks on BoudoirPhotographersUnite.com we will be introducing a new members only section to the site.

This is where you can find in-depth behind the scenes goodies of all types. Such as lighting, posing and how to tutorials, a Q&A section, in-depth image and portfolio reviews and lots of light room and Photoshop tips and advice.

Boudoir is Magical

The original “Boudoir” found only in upper class homes and palaces until the end of the 1800’s was an elegant dressing room off ones private sleeping quarters that only the privileged enjoyed. This was ‘her’ private and special place. With a makeup / jewelry table a daybed for reading or putting on her silk stockings and a wardrobe of beautiful cloth, lace, silk and of course her corsets, dresses and shoes.

Boudoir is romantic, sexy, aggressive, passionate, and powerful.

Boudoir today encompasses the beauty behind all things truly feminine. High heals and lipstick, beauty and ones inner sex appeal. Although a boudoir shoot can start clothed it almost always ends up in either lingerie, slightly covered or entirely nude depending on the style of the photographer and the wishes of the client.

Boudoir photography is an art form that is very different from other forms of photography its style is often closer to burlesque with its high heals and stockings than glamor.
