Boudoir in its essence is not something that will disappear without a fight!

In one form or other nudes, artistic nudes, semi nudes and implied nudes have been common for hundreds of years.  We find it in the earliest photographs, paintings, sketches and even sculptures.  The art of boudoir photography although not called boudoir is found all around us.

Lingerie advertising such as victoria secret and men’s magazines such as playboy and penthouse are full of boudoir. (Although in the case of the magazines the images are often more provocative and revealing)  The growing trend words boudoir and artistic nude photography in the US is powered by the desire to be beautiful, beautiful enough to be on the cover of a magazine.

Boudoirs’ growing popularity and recent success is found in its ability to empowering women to come out of their long time repressed history and break away from the confines of popular opinion in regards to decorum.

The benefits of doing a boudoir shoot seem obvious to boudoir photographers. Even though the average client intends her boudoir shoot for private use only, it is still one step closer to empowering woman every where.

Although the name might reinvent itself over time, Boudoir in its essence is not something that will disappear without a fight!
